Memphis, an endangered city?

I stumbled across this video the other day, while on one of my “Let me look up some stuff on inequality/OMG where did the last four hours go?!?” tour of the Interwebs.

Shout out to University of Memphis professor Charles Santo, whose spring 2014 Financing Community Development class put together this video on urban vs. suburban inequality. It that could also be titled, “Why Memphis is Poor As Hell.” Or “Why If Y’all Don’t Do Something Real, Memphis Will Still Be Poor As Hell in 2051.” Or “Poverty is Public Policy.”

Regardless, it’s worth your 8 minutes and 21 seconds.
